Choosing a perfect everyday bag

Hello, babes! Do you know those situations when shopping can be a challenge? Say, in my situation, I sometimes do not have a clear vision of the item I would like to have and then it is just walking circles and browsing around the options without actually making a decision.

What also happens is when I have an exact understanding what I am searching for, I would literally have a picture in my mind. And this is when the search can take days, weeks or even months. I know, this is crazy but I believe some of you can relate to that…

In fact, there is a specific item I am looking for right now and it feels like there is no perfect match… And this is a handbag for everyday use. Here are basically my requirements as I imagine The Bag ahah:

~ Size: Frankly speaking, I always carry an umbrella with me, so the bag should be at least 22 cm long. What is more, I often carry some study materials and other papers, so fitting a DINA4 size is a must…

~ Color: No doubt, a black handbag seems to provide most variety for winter outfits. At the same time, it sometimes seems a bit boring. For this reason, I would opt for a black and white combination, tan or burgundy.

~ Style: Being a fan of bowling bags, this season is time for totes with wings and messenger bags. And fringes are so big this season, definitely something exciting to try!

Tell me about how you pick an everyday bag. Do you change bags frequently within a season?

  6. I think tan bags are so great for every day. I also love that burgundy fringed one but the tan one would probably match with more outfits!

  18. I love the Winged Tan Tote because it looks so elegant and it is structured, so you can put stuff in it neatly. I choose my everyday bag depending upon if I have to carry around a lot of stuff on that day. I usually like to travel lightly, so for those days I choose a small clutch. On the other days I choose a medium size tote with shoulder straps so I can have my hands free for my baby and two-year old.

  32. For an everyday bag, I like to chose one that doesn't have to striking of a color or style. I like finding one that can match multiple outfits. Plus I don't like being too obvious that I'm using the same bag all the time haha
I really like the River Island Womens camel brown bag. It has such a gorgeous rich color and beautiful design!

  33. Irene, Each of these bags are unique. Have you ever thought about making your own bag? The majority of bags, even real leather can be sewn on a domestic sewing machine with using the right needle and the right interfacing and can be made to look exactly the way that you envision them! Check out some of the pinterest boards, Sew Mama Sew, a sight Purses, Purses and More Purses....truly you will discover a world of free patterns with a lot of people with lots of experience willing to share their experience and talents and help you along the way! An added bonus of sewing your own purse is that is truly can cost from a few dollars to as much as you wish, plus with your imagination it is a going to fit what you want it to look like to a the color of the thread used!

  36. These are such great bags! I often change bags during a season, depending on my outfit. And I completely relate to having an idea of a bag (or other item I want to buy) in my mind and never being able to find it.
